Stop . Think . Don't Shoot !

“I was in prison and you came to visit me … I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.”
Matthew 25:36, 40

Enabling our highly at-risk youth to value their lives, overcome obstacles, and to succeed in education and in life.

Who We Are:

Second Chance For Youth believes that every highly at-risk youth deserves the chance at a successful future. We are the most unique non-profit that deals and approaches highly at-risk and adjudicated youth in Lancaster County in an entirely new way.

We provide our youth with programs that are not provided in Lancaster County. We have talked to many different types of youth and their parents over almost a 3 year period about what types of established programs did not work for them in order to cultivate programs and services that do work for them that are stimulating, engaging and enriching for them. Violence is an epidemic disease among youth who are actively engaging in criminal behavior. We believe that each step our youth take toward succeeding in school is not only possible but should be celebrated as an achievement. All youth deserve a second chance at home, in school, and in life, as they learn to engage in positive behavior throughout the community while striving to succeed for a brighter future, understanding and realizing their full potential. We develop community violence reduction strategies through our educational and effective youth programs which are cultivated through our dedicated time and research into delinquency. Help us to give these youth a Second Chance at a life they might not otherwise have.
